COMMUNITY STANDARDS
Updated: February 2025
Welcome to Buddies!
Buddies is a social network allowing its Users to share photos with friends and wait everynight at 8.00 PM to see the shared photos’ results.
In order for everyone to fully enjoy the Services that we offer, we have written these Community Standards (the “Standards”).
The Standards are part of the Terms of Use of Buddies (“ToU”). Thus, you must also review and agree to these Community Standards if you wish to use our Services and to be aware of all the rules and obligations that apply to you on our Application. The ToU and the Community Standards constitute the entire contractual agreement governing your use of the Services.
Please note: When you check the box “I accept these ToU and these Standards” or any other similar wording, at the time of the subscription to the Services, you accept these Standards and agree to respect all the obligations set out in them.
First, just a little clarification: all capitalized terms used in these Standards are defined within these Standards and/or in the ToU.
1. Rules of community for the security of children
We’d like to remind you of our commitment to children’s safety. Our Application is reserved for people aged 15 and over, which means that there are minors and children.
This is why it is imperative that you respect the following rules against the exploitation and the child abuse on minors:
- You cannot publish any Content that could be considered as Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any CSAM means still images, videos, illustrated computer-generated or other forms of realistic depictions of a child in a sexually explicit context or engaging in sexually explicit acts.
- Online grooming is strictly prohibited. This means you are not authorized to build trust and rapport with a child in order to gain access to the child for the purpose of sexual activity or exploitation. All the following behaviours are not authorized at all on our Application : any request to minors to take sexually explicit images or to meet IRL for sexual purposes or to engage in a sexual conversation online or any proposition to sell or trade any minors’ sexual images. If you see someone acting in this way, you must report it.
- We ban any form of sexualization of minors. Any creation or sharing of Content (photos, real-world art, digital content, verbal depictions) that sexualizes real ou non-real children is not tolerated on our Application.
- Sextortion is a criminal offense, especially when it concerns children. Our Application (and the world!) is not a place where children could be threatened or blackmailed for sexual content, sexual activity and money from the child.
- Help us fight against child sex trafficking. Be alert to any behavior that might make you think someone is trying to advertise, solicit and exploit a child under 18 through a commercial sex act.
- Protect kids. In general, if you think a child may be in danger, is being mistreated, or is being pressured into dangerous behavior, don’t hesitate to intervene, both by reporting it to us and by offering to help the child.
If you have any questions or concerns about child safety, or if you have detected any of the behaviors listed above, we are at your disposal and invite you to write to us at the following email address privacy@buddiesapp.fr or via the reporting tool available on our Application.
